I have four of the Girls books and have read all but two, which are sitting in my Library stacks to be read. I also have two History Mysteries, which have yet to be read. I'd really love my own copy of Saba's--I'm really into African and Black history and stories.
And I haven't read a single Limited doll's book. Are they really that bad? O_o
I haven't read any of the Histories Mysteries. But, I'm really debating if I should start on those, too. Bookman's always has a bunch of them, for abour 2-3 bucks, and I don't think there were too many of them?
I'm just like you with books. Your "I live by the rule that if your bookshelves can hold all your books, that you don't have enough books!" says it all! I have bookcases full, and still piles all over, lol!
The LE books arent TERRIBLE, but Kailey's and Lindsey's weren't very good, and after that I didn't even bother with Marisol's, but I did read Jess's as I actually bought the doll, and felt I should know her story. It was much better than the other LE books, but really not up to par with what I expect from AG. I purchased my Lindsey and Kailey ones second-hand, so I don't feel too bad about how bad they were.
On your hunt for short stories, my Borders stores still have quite a few. And amazon.com always has a bunch of used ones listed. I have a couple extras I'd be more than happy to send you (or anyone else, if you have them already) if you need, if you'd pay the shipping price, which I imagine can't be much. I have doubles of A Reward for Josefina and Molly Takes Flight, and I think a Kirsten one, but I can't find it at the moment. Just let me know.

I love Spring Pearl's story. Hers was the first I read. I also like Cecile's cause I love France and French things. I like a lot, hee.
There's about..20? 30? of the History Mysteries, but they're all self contained, so you don't have to read one to catch up to the next. I haven't read my two yet, but they look very good. They have facts in the back too, and a little "map" in the front.
Ah, okay. I guess I can skim them if I ever see them. I've yet to be impressed by a LE doll; I'm more about the historicals.
I have that Josephina and Molly; if you tell me which Kristen it is later, I can check. I have 2 of hers.
